Welcome to our website dedicated to the Schipperke and our passion for this wonderful breed. We are Annie and Gerard Trepos, owner of the kennel “Du Roz de Kerhas”. Our first schipperke, Iloa du Manoir des Crocs Blancs, arrived 15 years ago in 1993. All the family get a crush for this amazing puppy. Our passion for schipperkes was born…. We have always live with dogs. Our first one “Ida de l’etang du Ter” ,a german sheperd, arrived in 1972. With Ida we discovered the pleasure to work with a dog and we have done our first steps in dogshow. In 1977 we decide to mate her and we choose “du roz de kerhas” for name. Howewer we didn’t get any german sheperd puppy .The first puppy who hold the name of the kennel was Major in 1996.
Years after years our family ofs dog has grown. Now we have 6 schipperkes at Home: Tiersen du Roz de Kerhas, Great Elora Danan (Rozenn’s dog , she is currently in the UK for her PhD), Amiral du Roz de Kerhas, Altehis du Domaine des Cytises, Faïence du Roz de Kerhas and Twinway Gémini Major.
The schipperke is a family passion, our 3 daughters also live they with black little devils and our little children could not do some: Rae du Manoir des Crocs Blancs and Ayna du Roz de Kerhas, at Sandrine, Christophe, Léo, Mathys and Louna, Villow-Phelia du Manoir des Crocs Blancs at Melanie, Raphaël, Zoltan and Ildiko, Tiersen du roz de Kerhas and Twinway Great Elora Danan at Rozenn
Even if our breeding is purely family we find the bases of our passion in the durable improvement of qualities of our schipperkes. With this intention we endeavour to lead a true policy of breeding. The family breeding du Domaine des Cytises makes it possible to call upon another line and proves to be invaluable combined in this field.
All our dogs live sets in the house and our pups are also born to with it. That allows an optimum socialization. As its name indicates it, the period of socialization represents for the pups a phase of training of the social life. One consequently understands all the importance and the responsibility for the breeder and thereafter that of the new Master in the future of the pup. We also invest themselves for the promotion of the breed. We are proud to say that our dogs are presents in Dogshow and Agility. Schipperke is for us the ideal dog….We will be happy to share our passion with you!
